I plan to use these on my dishwasher installation. Anyone had any problems with them, the drain fitting has a non return valve.

OK I'll call it a draw, I'm off to Screwfix tomorrow to get the rest of the bits & finish the job myself, which is what I should have done in the first place. But at 76 with more ailments than you can shake a stick at, I tried the "professional" route, it obviously isn't working.:35:
It won't push past the non return or the upwards facing loop.

I'm not sure what your on here for. Are you asking what the "plumber" did is wrong.or how it can be rectified? Either way, you are good at getting people on your side to help :hand:

You really should read all the thread, I'm not doing the installation, a "Plumber is"!!!

I have read all the thread. Look at the badge that says 'Moderator', it's my job to read every single post on every single thread.

You shouldn't be worrying about this. Your plumber should be. And if he's honestly considering using those fittings you've suggested he most certainly isn't a plumber but more a handyman who has lifted a pipeslice from somewhere.

You've been told, several times, how it should be done by proven professionals in the trade.

This is what happens when you pay peanuts. Sack him. One of us won't be a million miles from you.

Start a new thread here and remember to include a rough location.

The D/W uses 6.5L per complete cleaning cycle, with 3 fills per average cycle, at 2.16L per fill. So it doesn't need much flow. It would mean ripping the kitchen units apart to get at the pipework behind the back panels, so this is the lesser of the two evils. The installation is part way through, I'll let you know how things go. Incidentally I've used 4 self cutting 15mm valves for dish washers & washing machines over the last 20 years, never had any problems. This is my first self cutting drain, unfortunately the existing drain fittings are glued not compression.

Then why ask!!

One of them, but he's out of the picture now, the others diagnosed the possible constant pressure valve problem, but that can't be sorted until I get permission from the other tennants using the tank in my loft.
I've completed half the work on the D/W & will come back tomorrow when it's completed with some pics. Incidentally the self cutting tap from Screwfix had been assembled incorrectly, which took a couple of hours to diagnose, that is why I didn't complete today. I stripped it and assembled it as it should have been.

Is this the same guy that looked at your shower and tap issues

It's no wonder you don't get many civilians posting on here, the aggression factor is bordering on abuse.
Stearman65.

We get plenty of civilians on here. Most of them listen to us and take our advice. Then there are others who come on with preconceived notions who then get arsey because they don't get the answers they expected.

You were told early on in the thread how to do it properly. I told you on post #30 how and where to post to get a reputable and qualified tradesman.

What you perceive as aggression is actually exasperation born of the repeated advice you keep ignoring.

I'm closing this thread now because you've irritated me.
