Hi
Need some advice re a triton bar Therm shower.
The water system is a unvented running off electric not gas
Can not get the shower to regulate , have commission the shower to the instructions the pipework is connected correctly , have adjusted the therm on the water cylinder , but still no joy,any ideas.
Regards

Assuming that you have checked that the hot and cold water are both getting to the shower and are similar pressure then I suspect the shower is faulty.

Is it running of the mains or the CWSC? If the CWSC then you need to alter the pipework for it to run off the mains. (A few years ago electric showers would work off stored water but usually not nowdays.)

Did you try and commission it with the shower head attached? If so you might have triggered the prv, which will need replacing.

Try Triton - they don't bite!!

I'm pretty certain it's a thermostatic mixer shower DKIA, judging by the first post.

Sorry leslie, I realise it's thermostatic. I was just trying to be diplomatic in my reply to DKIA.

Have you tried the commissioning procedure? Any joy?

One other thing occurred to me, the incoming hot water temperature isn't too hot is it? Should be absolute max. of 80C.

If it was over 80c when you initially commissioned it you may have damaged the thermostatic cartridge.

If it was me I'd return it under the guarantee and get a replacement.

Good luck.

I thought it was a thermostatic one but googled it and there's also an electric one!

Anyways, hope it gets sorted soon. (Nothing to add, I'm afraid as Paulus seems to be on the button with this one - more diplomacy!)
