Had a couple jobs last couple days boiler upgrades where both have been in cupboards . Both jobs went fine no issues but could have been as just assumed that new boilers would just fit with no issues .The second one tho was close call as was heatrae sadia electromax which is a fair sized unit and when the delivery driver dropped it off we both looked at cupboard and thought this may not fit !!!!
luckily it did fit thankfully as i had removed old boiler before it was delivered.

has anyone on here made a boo boo with anything like this , ripped boiler ,cylinder, bathroom apart only to have a bigger unit as new??

I like it when it just fits. Makes it look made to measure! I priced up a job for a vaillant 937 going in an airing cupboard. That was a nightmare. Didn't do my homework on that one.

ive got an unvented install coming up in airing cupboard and boiler is already in there high on wall ! i wake up at night over it

I do measure up on every job boiler, flue clearances etc. but you can guarantee the one I don't do will not fit.

Yep. My first major job after setting up on my own. Full bathroom re-design, moving everything around and removing old vented cylinder, to replace with unvented in loft. Everything went smoothly until I tried to get cylinder into the loft. The hatch was big enough but the cylinder hit the rafters d'Oh! Had to enlarge the hatch and make up a new door.
