Hi people.

Im really struggling for ideas on a soil run and whether using a durgo is sufficient. Basically the soil pipe comes up from groundfloor wc into the bathroom. It used to continue up into the loft and out the roof, teeing off in the bathroom to pick up appliances. The room is tiny which is why im looking for alternative routes. Where it was before meant the basin had to sit infront of it which is why im trying to move. My first thought was to elbow it as soon as its in the bathroom and send it into a corner. That means having to run it behind the toilet which with a tee and pan connector throws it way off. Is there an alternative? Can i downsize in pipesize or take the vent from anywhere on the run?
Sorry for waffling.

Yea you can run it in 2"

Is next door vented ?

Either reduce it down to 2" or put a durgo on both are fine

Can you take some pictures please it would help regards kop
That’s what it was and what it might be but as you can see running the soil behind the loo pushes it well out.

I see two options

Packs the wall out to suite the soil

Change the pan to a different type eg not back to wall

I didn't do the timber work cus did

Think I would do something like this you can either fit a stubb stack and air admittance valve or vent out through the roof and box in and tile over to match . Cheers kop

Apologies Shaun but really? A Durgo? What about venting?
Without a vent the OP could well end up with the 'odor' we all know and love so well...
The other thing I would mention is that if using 50mm to vent then do not use elbows. The max one should use is 45s. I know this from bitter (expensive) experience

Approved docs recon 75mm minimum for the vent pipe but personally I'd be happy with 50.
Avoid bends and offsets in the wet part of the stack but the dry part you can do what you like as long as it's all going down hill. So take it onto the outside wall if you like.
Aav is good if you have other open vent on the system. Although in many ways an aav is nice because when your drains block you have early warning of the issues because your toilet doesn't flush properly:eek:
