Thanks everyone. As I work for a company it makes me worse as I worry more about what they think of me.

Well ash if any of them read the replies to your posts on here, they will see what everybody thinks of you. I don't know you personally buddy but it will confirm to them what we all know about you. Hard working, conscientious and eager to learn, what more could an employer want for the successful continuation of his workforce !

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Had a really good day today, wasted a bit of time by not having the siphon i needed on the van for one job so was a half hour round trip to get it but having the right stock on the van is all part of the learning I suppose. Just have to accept that some days will go well and other days not so well!.

After the comments regarding the wet vac, I'm supposed to be picking it up tomorrow so might just get it refunded straight away and see what else is available.

Nice one Ash, confidence restored, keep at it

By the way still swear by my cheap and cheerful wickes wet n dry vac.

Can't open the link buddy, but if its blue, that's the one .

Yeah it's blue £39.99. Think I'll go for that once I get the screwfix one refunded.

At that price mate, it's a consumable if it fails after a year it's not going to upset you to much, mines lasted three so far.

Trust me Ash do not buy a Karcher, worst tool I've ever bought! Spews up all over carpets.

Went in and cancelled my order and got it refunded last night. Going for the Wickes one, will go in after work tomorrow.

What's the advantages to a wet vac? Never owned one.

Great for getting last bits of water out of central heating pipes below ground floor radiators prior to soldering. If you have an annoying trickle of water that wont stop, you can get your apprentice/labourer to hold the wet-vac over the end of the pipe while you solder the fitting without problems.

Eliminates any messy central heating water going on the customer's nice carpets. Even if you do get any heating water on the carpet, if you use a wet-vac quickly it gets it all out without staining.

Fully drains toilet cisterns in seconds.

Just generally a great tool to have. If you buy a decent one it doubles up as a normal vacuum cleaner too.
