What about bluebottles and rat's?:rolleyes:

Bluebottles are guided out through a window. Rats I shoot with my air rifle if they are out by my bins in the back garden as I draw the line at putting my family, especially my 2 year old granddaughter at risk of Weil's disease and the other nasties they carry. I really do take not killing anything unnecessarily very seriously though. Mosquitoes always get dispatched, not because they bite me (they never do!) but the Mrs comes up in horrible weeping sores where they bite her which makes her miserable which makes me miserable. Other than that I do my best to save any living thing.

We had a big butterfly in the workshop the other day and I lost my lunchbreak making a rudimentary butterfly net out of some 10mm copper and a plastic bag and managed to do a catch and release all whilst people just took the p*ss out of me. I even save the wasps we get and put them outside.

I do get upset when people's first reaction to any creepy crawly showing its face is to stamp on it or whatever. Most people seem to do that without a thought.

Absolutely agree. I see no point in killing harmless creatures.
Wish people wouldn’t get cats though

I don’t kill ‘em, just chase them out my garden, sick of them sh***ing in my borders and on my grass.
cats keep mice and stuff away my nearest neighbours cat is very happy around our new place but he is a field cat, feeds himself and drinks from our waterbutt...we were asked never to feed him as his fur comes out if anybody does ...mind you he finished off a vindaloo takeaway recently with no adverse effects after I left kitchen door open last Sunday am. I hate that cats use their neighbours gardens. So unfair that the cat owner’s garden usually isn’t used as a cat loo.
Also hate that they kill birds and most of the cat owners think that is something to praise.

My cat is an exception honestly, every day when I feed him he finishes his grub and goes straight to my lawn to take a dump. Luckily as he always without fail goes immediately after eating I can go pick it up with me shovel. That has to be my least favourite job every morning after breakfast and dinner too but at least he isn't crapping on other people's property. I wish I could say the same about all the other cats that live in the terrace who love my new lawn.

My wife has the same routine, tea toast at 06.30 then a dump
