I think isolating the mixer taps and shower individually and checking the hot water after each one would narrow it down.

Will try tomorrow and let you know the results.

Can anyone identify what type of hot water cylinder this is? It's going on for 10 years old now...

Just got a call with the exact same complaint as the OP. Having a brew first then I'll see what the problem is.
