Bought a dremel years and years ago. Was never impressed. Cutting discs would always shatter. Think its kicking around in the garage.

Oh no really? Maybe they've improved :/

Dig it out and try it again Simon then hold back a little with the pressure and let the disc do the work not you.

The cutting wheel on a dremel is only thin and wont take any flex so if you put pressure on the disc flat face it will shatter if you see what I mean, I don't think you'll have any trouble using a dremel just take your time don't put too much pressure on and try different speeds if your dremel has adjustable spreeds, Ohh and a waver/disclamer signed first is the best way to go and don't forget once that bolt is cut that big heavy taps going to drop

Yeah I've already planned to line the basin heavily with a thick dust sheet to catch the fall of the tap.. Will practice at home first before using at the customers and let my office know of the potential damage should it all go Pete Tong

Use a bucket not a dust sheet to catch what's in the trap and whatever you run off the taps. How did you get on with that pump?

I do.. but I'm using the dust sheet to catch the tap inside the basin ;)

I didn't end up doing the pump, I was given 7 other jobs that day and explained that there wasn't enough hours in the day to get everything done so they gave it to another engineer..

I was quite glad to be honest, I don't like rushing something I've not done before, I prefer to have time to make sure I'm doing everything right.
