Hi, I am changing my old Timeguard TRT030 stat to a Honeywell THR870CUK programmable stat. The problem is that the old stat appears to be 3 wires plus earth and the new stat is 2 wire, plz see enclosed pics, the wiring drawing is for the new Honeywell stat, can anyone explain with wires go where as I'm assured it will work but I find the instructions rather confusing... Thanks in advance

thats an easy one

L to live
N to neutral
L to A
no to b

Thanks for quick reply. Just a bit confused as I have also read that I disregard the neutral and the earth as they are not needed (choc block them)

Correct but not together in the same block else that will cause a fault

Thanks, that's what I meant, separate blocks, thanks for your help.
