Hi I just hope that one of you guys could help. It is a brand new mixer have installed for a customer and the NRV for the cold feed keeps sticking. If I replace the valve would anyone know if it can be replaced it from the inside by taking the cartridge out or do I need to take the tiles off again? Surely these things are designed so that I do not have to get to the pipework? Appreciate any help,

Thanks Terry

What shower is it? Don't you have the instruction booklet?

Type make model of MV would be exceptionally helpful if you want some help on this, one of the member might have stripped on like your, you could go look on TINTERNET and see if your friendly manufacture as an exploded drawing see where the NRV are placed.

Like you say the website is just a micron short of crap, hope the shower is a little better but by the sounds of it I doubt it, Mira have always been handy with information, historically they come from Walker Crossweller, and they were great with tech data sheet, before TINITERNET was thought of.

It's Tuesday tomorrow, phone ET

you could just pull it to bits, that's how learning curves start

Hi Keefy

The shower will work one day and not the next. The hot water will run for about 20 seconds but there is no cold water coming through. There are not any airlocks and when I dismantled the cartridge, cold came through fine and so I assume that the ball valve must be sticking.

Never heard of a mixer that allows hot water to come through but no cold, bloody dangerous, I would be looking at the bin next, bet you are glad you didn't buy, you may still get blamed for it not working or someone get burnt.

Didn't you see the NRV when you stripped it down ???? it's not a ball valve it's a NRV if there are any in there, is it from Spain or Italy bloody Europe... never see the end of them :41:

If your getting hot but no cold it could be the cartridge?
Is it gravity hot and cold? Not sure if your shower will take unbalanced pressures.
If your sure its correctly installed, I would let them sort it out.

1 bar is equal to 15 psi or 30 ft head or 10 mtre approx, therefore 0.1 would be 1 mtre and 0.2 would be 2 mtre which you ain't got, your on the breadline with head

Tony

Its a pump or a tank lift me thinks
