why are you shouting, you dont seem to understand basic heating design issues so reading whats being said on here might help, no wonder you arguing with others on your team, your not listening to them or us!

Derek... Cheap ck tools on amazon, GOGOGOGO!

Put 2 control mechanisms into a feedback system and they argue with each other

(Talking maths 1 control mech either on-Or-Off 1-or-0)
(Have 2 and now have 4 possibilities to explain 00,01,10,11..Too many words!)

I agree with everything about no trv in same room as stat however, the reason I got told that the stat was in the hallway was because if your front door is being left open or is being used a lot then the breeze will come in and cool the house down, so when the door is being used a lot the boiler will kick in and warm u back up.

Also I always suggest that the radiator in the same room as the stat is always on because
1. it controls the whole house temperature and if trv is closing you are basically making the thermostat redundant as it is limited to the temperature of the TRV
2. TRV's take longer to come back on then stats do
3. it also provides added protection if there is a blockage in bypass or if no bypass and no towel rads. (or if some idiot shuts bypass.)

oh and i never remove the TRV (unless doing a lot of work on heating), i just get a cap from the trv packs (transit caps) and stick that on rather then draining down and replacing.
