UFH 1 pump and mixer serving 2 manifolds - has anyone ever used a larger sized pump and system blending valve to serve 2 separate manifolds (7 &3 ports)?. was thinking about installing immediately after unvented cylinder loop to cut down on cost/maintenance. the property is on 3 floors and solely heated by UFH so should only need 50deg max input for the whole system. Just wondered if a single pump would be man enough or would circulate evenly providing all sub zones are well balanced??? Thanks in advance

Yes but mixer valve needs to be close to the manifolds else you could loose too much heat

Also fit a flow modulation pump

Yes you can.
Must be complete separate zone. Manual mixer won’t cope with the flow, so use a proper mixing station.
Trouble is, this will cost more than the two manimixing stations.

Thanks for the advice. Was looking at a circoflo mixing valve which is 1” sized with 3/4 connections. It states it is suitable for as a system mixer no cheap at £240inc but will give more space at the manifolds. For the pump a ups 25 40/60. Would this be man enough to pump/blend the ufh circuit bearing in mind I’ve got 1 loop at 6m. Total pipe length of about 350 linear meters for the whole system.
