Hi, basically none of the thermostats controlling the system light up even if you do twist them right round. The gauges are active, and the upstairs heating works. It is just radiators. The Hot water works too. It is only the underfloor heating and all the systems seem to be working (ie. digital displays are working). It is an uponor system.
Thanks in advance

Hi thanks for that quick reply. I thought that too(im no expert whatsoever with plumbing) but is it not strange then that all the motorised valve go at the same time? And why are the thermostats not working then?

No not that im aware of. I think its a T-25. There is a gauge beyond the pump heading to the different room pumps. The gauge reads 20 degrees. Does that mean there is water coming through? If the pump wasnt working, would the thermostats still not work?

How many stats are there? If they share the same permanent live it could have come loose.

Does sound like a wiring issue to me, does the ufh have its own fused spur? If so start by checking the fuse.

5 years ago. About that time anyway. On the under floor heating digital controller it says closed. Could this have anything to do with it?

If the lights on the stats are not coming on it is more than likely the control panel ,I've replaced a couple of these which are only around 4 years old

image.jpgThis is the whole set up. All in all does anyone think its the brains cause I hear they're expensive?..

There isn't a tiny 2amp fuse in the brains (wiring centre) is there? Look closely. Did you take the cover off?

The one with all the wires everywhere, did you take the cover off? There may be a small glass fuse in there, make sure it's electrically isolated before touching anything.

No the controll unit is top left sometimes this will have a fuse / maybe a reset button, not sure I'm not very familiar with this type.

Wow. In your picture there are 3 units

1. TOP LEFT is the brains/control unit/wiring centre or whatever you want to call it.

2. Top right is your programmer

3. the box below that is just where the actuators are linked.

The problem is most likely with number 1.
