Hello, new member after some expert advice from you heating engineers.
I’m an electrician :shocked3:, connected an UFH system last week, combi floor mounted boiler with hot water reserve, Radiators with zone valve.
I have used a 3-channel clock – Hot water. Radiators & UFH. I have wired the system so as when the time clock calls for the UFH, the UFH zone valve opens putting power to the UFH control box, via the zone valve orange wire, Then when the UFH room stat calls for heat, this switches the boiler & manifold pump using the volt free contacts in the control box. All seams to work fine, but a plumber friend has commented that the manifold pump should be running whenever the time clock is calling. I could easily alter the connections to achieve this, but wanted to know which way is correct.
A link to a full wiring diagram would be nice.
Thanks.
