How do you go bout unfair dismissal and what qualifies as unfair dismissal.

Yes a month and had a meeting and they was happy with everything I was doing spoke about going to get my gas ticket now they are going to be advertising for a already qualified gas safe they tried telling me I didn't even know what a y plan system was or a s plan

Sorry Ryan, but you need 2 years employment with the employer. It used to be 1 year, but changed to 2 yrs recently. Unless you can prove that your were discriminated against under one of the protected categories (gender, race, religion, sexual orientation etc), you don't even have access to the tribunal.

Basically she stated that I wasn't capable and another engineer doesn't want to work with me whose high up in the company so there must be sanc wrong with me. She then stated I wasn't getting the company van I was waiting for since the 19th august. She then said my knowledge wasn't any good I apparently don't know what a y plan neither a s plan what after 7yrs I think I know and she then insultly said I'd give you a apprentice wage

seems like you've fallen foul of someone, there's not a lot you can do accept pickup the bits and get out there looking for work again, not helpful but chin up and show you can do it, but elsewhere.

Sorry - should have added that there are a few other "automatically unfair" conditions under which the 2 year rule doesn't apply, but they are mostly around pregnancy (I assume you aren't up the duff?), trades union representation or breaches of WTD or NMW. You can see a full description here

Think you might need to take this one on the chin. seems like you have upset somebody higher up in the food chain for whatever reason.

i remember going back a few years a lad i worked with in the steelworks tried getting a no win no fee firm of solicitors to take his case for unfair dismissal they seemed really interested.
he had got into a fight with another lad and other lad was given a final warning and he was sacked they asked why he was sacked and the other lad wasn't.
i hit him on the head with a big mallet. i think you can guess there response. i laughed my **** off i couldnt believe he even thought he had a chance.
