Fitted my first and last vaillant last week, nothing is screwed (except the flue, which is worrying as you have to make 3 connections compared to wb's 1 connection.) pipe didn't go behind so all pipe work visible. The start up process takes forever, purging and testing etc. the valves are rubbish, prv was impossible to connect when flow and return connected. Condensate is glued on to connection in boiler. Condensate must be put into a w.machine trap to prevent syphonage. Absolutely cack, customer was alimentary so I fitted the piece of cack, never again!! Lost a job last week as another plumber recommended a glow worm with 10 year guarantee, so looking for alternative to Wb.

Funny that, I find Worcesters a nightmare to fit. Are the templates still made of tissue paper?

I think Valliants are a doddle aswell.

the flow an return valves, I make sure I open them up before I put them on boiler. Sometimes a flat had gets it straight away, otherwise a pair of grips.

i personally think valliant are one of the easiest boilers to fit, not heavy either.

Why not use a alum key? No slipping on the valve and chewing them up! I think vaillants are great....my boiler of choice to be honest.

Not heavy, if they were less bulky be better. Plus test nipple in gas valve is a bit of a pain in the arse!

Bacho set from tooled up.co.uk has been a excellent investment

Try a set of these, fantastic quality. I've even bought a spare set they're that good.

How else do u get the test nipple out / undone on the gas valve to check pressure? As per mi and 26(9)

to you and jase the way to turn the valves is with an allen key vaillant valves are far superior to anything else ive shut of 20 year old vailants without problems

26(9)a actually:54: I use the little socket set, that driver looks to long to get inbetween the case and the gas valve.
