Water Pressure Help

Hi,

I have just renovated my house and the plumber has been round to finish of the bathrooms, in the ensuite I've had a thermostatic shower and when i tried it the water hardly makes it out the end. I have a hot water tank in the loft (not a combo boiler system) and the shower hasn't got a separate feed to it from the tank and would be a big job (especially now its all finished ) to do so. So i was wondering could i have a pump(s) to increase the pressure of the hot/cold water throughout the house. what would be the best way of the doing this? and typical costs of how to do it.

Your bathroom pipework shouldn't need any alteration. If you are moving to a combi though you will need your cylinder removing and the central heating pipework tweaked accordingly

Thinking that i will now go down the combi boiler route, will this improve my water pressure at my shower?

What combi boilers would people recommend, the boilers ive been looking at are the worcester bosch greenstar or ideal vogue

I'd recommend Vaillant Ecotec Plus. Before you do however get an engineer out get some quotes and make sure the water pressure and flow in your house is suitable for a Combi boiler as they do have minimum requirements

Just make sure that the shower valve is ported for Combi boiler. Some valves don't work so well if another cold outlet is turned on during use. Also ensure hot water from boiler is not above 70 deg.
