ProffesorPlumb

Chase Plumbing Academy are pleased to announce that they are now and accredited BPEC Assessment Centre.

We now run 1 day Water Regulations Training for Plumbers old & new.

(Link removed this is an old thread)

It is not a difficult course and all plumbers should be trained in this to ensure they are not breaking the law on installations 🙂

No plumbing qualifications are necessary 🙂

Please get in touch for curriculum content and learning criteria

When I start the 6129 level 3 plumbing course even though I'm not on an apprenticeship, will I be allowed to take BPEC Water Regulation, bpec unvented hot water system bpec energy efficiency if i wanted to in my spare time

thank again
Yes for a few £££'s. try to do the 'extra's' as you complete the relevant section in L3

The home study pack is a comprehensive manual covering all 12 modules with self-test packs. You will be required to have studied this manual prior to attendance.

Cheerios boys name girls I've got it sorted.. Next week I've got the unvented hot water course to be looking forward to.. Any help??? Questions or ideas :bulb2:

dnno what on earth was thinking about there “boys name girls“ my apologies boys and girls..:hurray: And would appreciate a push of help with the following module... Thanks

I have completed the bpec course and the C&G course.
Bpec 1day course is just another money making exercise for colleges and bpec. Its a disaster you get the exam it tells you where the answer (open book) is and you make your decision.ABCD come on for the sake of plumbing in the future all bpecs 1 day 3 days nonsence must be stopped

If you have money and any level of experience you should be doing the C&G.

I am looking into this, the college I spoke to said it was a turn up on the day exam but others have said you need to self study, I have started re-reading the WRAS book but if anyone has any advice to help with potential revision then please let me know

Hi, got a water regs course tomorrow. Can anyone give me some info on things I'll need to know and what sort of questions are in the test. Thanks

Yes mate it's open book and really just a reference exercise, it's a lot easier if you know the basics and really should have revised sooner.

Thanks, was meant to be doing it in a few weeks but got told this afternoon im now doing it tomorrow. Is there anything you recommend reading up on beforehand?

Thats not fair, mind you with only two week to go you must have started looking through the training manual ? Do you know the 1to 5 water categories?

This turn up & do the exam approach is what gives these courses a bad name. IMHO

Oops.. Very Sorry CH4, not paying attention meant to quote the post below (too much beer), I know you are always more than fair!!

Being told to attend a course the day before it starts, when there is a large manual to work through is not fair.

Mainly most of the questions are about regulations and contamination and notification to the undertakers if I can remember .. not too much to do as it's open book and the answers are going to be there.

No worries Chris I'm the same after a good bottle of red.

Hello spanner,

I done my BPEC Unvented and Water Regs qualifications at Ideal in Reading. They were both 1 day courses and cost £90 each which included lunch and refreshments.

For the unvented there was 2 theory open book examinations and 1 practical exam.

For the Water Regs it was 3 theory based exams with no practical involved.

Just signed up to do the Water Regs at Ideal in Reading - £150 for the day (Vented and Unvested same cost) This is for 3rd July - don't seem to have many of these sessions available here or at their other centres around the country. Looked at a few other places and the costs were higher than this.

We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
