I fitted a couple of biasi activas , one lasted about a month and I ripped it out and put in an optia, the other one is still going. I went from there to fitting ideal logics, Vaillant and WB. Don't really fit boilers now, servicing only really.

I have fitted 2 Ferrolis, and regretted it the moment they went on the wall, landlord did spec "the cheapest thing you can get" though I'm sure he will have forgot that when they start failing.

No one admitting to fitting Icos Isar's yet?

Jury still out on neta tec ? Indecisive or what?

I believe in giving a new product half a fighting chance to prove itself ;) A few teething problems doesn't a bad boiler make :) look at the new Porsche GT3 ! Some of them have caught fire and they've all been recalled !! I would still have one though, preferably after the issue has been resolved though lol

Yes, I did the whole Icos Isar thing when they were brand new out.......ended up having to replace an Isar at my own cost as Ideal wouldn't help out :( presumably because they were so inundated with failures of them !! Needless to say, I have not and will not ever do business with Ideal again........ EVER, end of :)

The manufacturer is paying to have them removed.... Bit of a give away? Also it's a horrible boiler - gave it two years ..... That's long enough.

I fitted 6 ferrolis, 3 didnt even work before id installed them. I had to get there engineers out and found customer service was terrible. So embarassing when you have a customer stood there saying i dont want it i want a new one and ferroli saying no we will send out an engineer. I would never go anywhere near them again really dissapointed. There so bad they wont even sell them at city plumbing anymore.

Didnt know about them being removed ! How come they're still available to buy then ? Assume we're talking about the NTec GA ?

I once fitted one in an HA flat. Took it out 18 months later and just charged cost of materials because I was so embarrassed about fitting such a heap of shiiite.

been to repair one once, took one look and did a runner:)

No idea why still selling them. Netas normally have issues with gas valve, pressure gauge and diverter. Any Baxi with GA in title should be avoided

We are still selling them because a few local authorities and HAs are stil speccing them.

Erm is right thought, the whole GA technology has been a disaster for Baxi. I think they are now on release 7 of the software, but the damage is done. Virtually all Baxi's turnover is now reliant on the old Duotec platform in its various guises (HE A, Platinum, Pott Gold, Titanium) etc, plus 50 - 60 thousand Mains and a few thousand Baxi Avantas.

Expect to see the GA ranges qiuietly dropped and a new Baxi product platform late in 2014 or early in 2015.

I'm not going to bad mouth worcester as much..... The 40cdi regular is actually quite nice boiler to fit. Would be slightly better if the conns were 28 or 35? How do they expect to shift 40kw through 22mm tube?????
