"Ill do all the rads and pipe work and even hang the boiler" and you just connect the gas, CHEERS, BUT NO THANKS ON THAT ONE.

"Can we knock some off for labour if I take the week off work and help you" work,.

"I used to be a hydrolics engineer at the turnip factory back in the 1970s, therefore I know all about plumbing and Iam going to watch everything you do" work.

"Ive got the boiler from B and Q weve had a quote from daves brother in laws mate to fit it for £10, so can you fit it wednesday" work.
classic ! haha my mate bought a boiler for B&Q 2 year ago, changed the pcb twice already !

if anyone ever says "how much is this going to cost because im quite skint" then just tell them you won't be able to afford my services then !

I also hate people who hover over you watching your every move asking questions etc

I earn my living doing what I do but I do have to travel to earn it.

I do have a local customer base which many times I cannot serve such as bathroom which I hate and the odd kitchen etc.

Which brings me to my point as I pass all my hate work to a good friend of mine who is better at this type of work than most.

Point is he does not have a 61 NVQ or whatever it is , but what he does have is skill and reputation and does a very good job.

Before you jump he has been a wet plumber for 30 years fully insured and not a qualification to his name

i know people who have been plubmers for years without quals because they were plumbers mates/labourers who learned enough on site experience and are good at their job, that is different from a fast tracker though

always knock back blocked toilets. actually starting to not like doing plumbing jobs at all what i do like though is fitting heating /boilers and gas work
