Was this put together by a Yorkshireman?

On the one hand we are very picky about who gets awarded the title 'Honorary Yorkshireman'. On the other, acknowledging that it's God Finest by drinking our tea gives you a distinct leg up. Traditionally you need a mere 20 years here to even be acknowlwdged so, for you, seeing as you're so desperate, we could cut it to 19 years 11 months and 3 weeks. Just dont tell any bugger otherwise we'll be inundated  cos we've gone soft...

Too far South.
Far too warm.
Too close to Frenchies.
Speak funny.
Only thing Yorkshire has in common with the Channel Islands is the desire to escape the tax man - allegedly..

Far too warm. - I'll let you have that one right now

Too close to Frenchies. - I like the French

Speak funny. - Pot Kettle Black

On taxes...

As always only if you are already stinking rich. The 20% tax maximum is nice though. We also have no VAT which is fantastic when I buy things from the UK but all local goods have the all pervasive "Guernsey tax" which means everyone charges twice the price for everything "Shipping costs, you see?" A £100 weekly shop here costs me about half that figure when I'm in England or at least it seems that way.

Funny how we get lumbered with being haggis munchers. Most of us hate the stuff, after all who in their right mind thinks that's it's nice to eat sheep's entrails boiled inside a sheep's stomach. Still can't beat deep fried mars bars.:)
Love Yorkshire and try to get trout fishing on the Wharfe when I'm down, but that accent needs work.
Did you know that Mugabee was a Yorkshire man? Well when he became President of South Africa, he changed his name. Just read Mugabee backwards and you'll get the just of it:D
