Hello, I am looking at buying a property with a HeatraeSadia AMPTEC system fitted.
It is a brand new system coupled to a thermaq UNICYL cylinder
We are a bit worried about the cost of running this system, and may be looking to remove it and fit a gas boiler instead.
Unfortunately it is fitted...
Veissmann 111 w has been suggested for a one bathroom two shower room installation. I've never fitted one before and I am looking for some advice.
How good are these boilers, build quality, reliability etc. and what are Veissmann's like to work with for customer support. Any comments...
Hi,
I wonder if someone can help answer some questions please.
In our house we have two boilers : a 37kw and a 30kw.
The max flow rate required for the two is 4.1 and 3.24 cu m/h (7.34 cu m/h)
this exceeds the meters limit of 6 cu m/h.
What options do I have resolve?
I have been told that a...
Hi guys, looking to buy new torque screwdriver set for working on new boilers. Glowworm in particular. My current driver has now rounded off after many years of use BUT I don't know its size. Not really bothered in getting sets of bits with all the other sizes as I have countless copies of...
In a nutshell are modern boilers fit for purpose. Since the temp has dropped I must of had 50 calls boilers conked out.
Most within 7 years old.
Literally selling customers junk
Does anyone have any experience with BOXT? Installing there boilers. Just curious with the way they work and wondered if anyone had any first experience working for them?
Thanks
I've just installed an intergas 36kw RF and up until today i've never come across one. I was impressed on the simplicity of the install but there doesn't seem to be a lot to them.
I'm looking at changing from Worcestor to another brand because they are getting very expensive and its getting...
Over the years I've seen the growth of combination boilers and how they have overtaken system and heat only.
While combination boilers have their uses, its becoming increasing frustrating why so many plumbers choose this option.
Heat only is by far the cheapest and effective way to heat a home...

Anyone fitted many of the new Baxi boilers ?
I've fitted a lot of Duo-Tecs & Platinums but know nothing of the new ones. 200s & 400s I think they are called so I'm interested to know how they are performing & how easy they are to fit...oh, & are they lighter than a duo-tec to lift ;)
hi guys
I’m quoting for a job to cascade 2 boilers unvented cylinder and low loss header
To save time and distuption I’m looking to use tracpipe for the gas, the boilers are 25 meters away from the meter. I have used tracpipe for LPG but never for NG and I’m trying to find the installation...
Is it time for manufacturers to make a gravity feed/expansion combi boiler on the primary side. When I was a plumber many years ago I think about 1982 I remember installing an optional gravity feed boiler instead of a presure system. I was never called back to the boiler. Any thoughts
Hello all
I hope it's okay to seek some advice on this forum.
A bit of background first: I live in a flat, built around 2000, originally came with PowerMax boiler, this was replaced with a combi Glow Worm end of 2012. End of 2015 had a leak from the flue, it was decided that it was due to poor...
As in the above question really. A forum member recently asked if we should be fitting duty and standby for vulnerable customers.
What I'd like to ask is what costs would this add to the job. Is it a case of extra boiler cost plus a couple of extra pipes (say £1000 in typical domestic...
Hi I am just wondering do you need to be Gas safe to change a three way valve? This is relating more specifically to the valves in Morco Boilers. You don't touch the gas at all but, you do have to take the front of the boiler off and drain it down. Cheers
