Condensate boss into washing machine standpipe?

Hi guys, got a job coming up where one of the issues is the kitchen fitter connected a condensate pipe to a washing machine standpipe by drilling a 22mm hole and siliconing the condensate pipe from the combi into that... Surprise surprise - it is now leaking. I would like to know if regs are...

Washing Machine & Combi Condensate Drain

I'm putting in the drain pipe work for a boiler above a washing machine. Worcester-Bosch show the condensate pipe connected with a Y after the trap, but as the trap will be quite low done for the washing machine, I'm not sure if this is practical. Is this arrangement OK? Many Thanks JAMES

Possible Problem with Condensate Pipe New Combi Install

Hi, Hopefully someone can offer some advice. Recently we had a new Combi Boiler fitted (a Worcester Greenstar 28 Condensor Boiler). The engineer decided it was best to install the condensate pipe under the floor to prevent freezing. A couple of days after the install we left for a short...

Can copper piping be used for condensate drain pipe from combi boiler

Hi all, This is first post and I'm afraid I'm not very technically minded. I had a new Worcester Bosch 38CDI natural gas combi boiler installed about 5 months ago. Everything was fine until a week ago when the boiler started shutting down about 3 or 4 times a day, but would restart when the...

    Grundfos,Condensate pump wiring

got to wire a grundfos conlift condensate pump. Anybody wired on before? i know it will require a feed via spur or plug, what im unsure of is the overflow cutout. Some ive seen before you just wire the live(line) supply to the boiler in series via the pump safety float switch. Dose anybody know...

    Condensate pump recommendation?

I've never ever had to fit a condensate pump before, always found a way to run one in overflow to a soakaway or whatnot. But got a job coming up where I really don't think there's any other way to do it. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable condensate pump? Should be as small and quiet as possible!

Intergas System Boiler Condensate Trap Protrudes Below Bottom Cover

I am just installing an Intergas Compact SB40 boiler but the condensate trap protrudes about 15 cm below the bottom cover. It is unsightly and frankly a design nonsense. The other boilers in the range are all smaller and the condensate trap is also smaller and is concealed by the cover. Do you...

Condensate pipe dripping on my drive

I recently bought a new house, and have notice that the neighbours have a pipe that sticks out of their wall about 2 inches and hangs over my brick driveway. What initially believed to be some sort of overflow pipe now looks to be a condensate pipe from a boiler, as it only drip for a small...

Condensate pump on all the time

Hi, I have an Altech Alcon PM condensate pump a few feet underneath my boiler. It has been activating approximately every 5 seconds for most of the day. I don't have a clue why or what it is even for, but this is not usual for my house and wondered if anyone could suggest a cure? Looking at...

    Condensate pipe dripping

My Baxi platinum 24he keeps losing pressure and I have no leaks anywhere the prv isn't dripping and the expansion vessel seems to be holding pressure. Baffling condensate pump problem

Hi 4 years’ ago I had a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Ri boiler installed. Due to its location, a Sauermann condensate-removal pump was also fitted. For the first three years, no problems, but then the pump began to operate every few minutes whether the boiler was operating or not. I have an...
