Hi can anyone help, i'm of the understanding that manf instructions over rule regs. Gazco require a hearth on a gas letterbox style fire of 100mm depth, 150mm either side of fire minimum of 50mm. Can you tell...

Afternoon all,
First post (after my introduction) and looking for some assistance, if possible.
We have a Living Flame Gas Fire by Legend Gas Fire Ltd. Just at the wrong time of year it has started to cut-out. To my (untrained) knowledge this is likely to be the thermocouple or pilot unit...
Got called to one of these in a small flat yesterday flame keeps cutting out both times i was there worked fine . Flame picture all good , pressure and gas rate all good ,tenant said that sometimes works for several hours before it cuts out . No issue with controls and room has CO alarm which i...
Took my little girl to see Santa today and it ended with him telling a story inside a log cabin that was approximately 3mx3mx2.5m. First thing I noticed when we walked in was a smell of gas! There was a what looked like a portable gas fire running of what I assume a would be a LPG calour gas...
We wish to have a glass fronted hearth gas fire installed. Other than the heat output an important factor is the visual appearance – flame height, spread etc. Our existing gas supply pipe exiting the concrete floor is 15mm OD. One dealer assures us this is adequate. However another dealer says...
I did a landlord inspection on an open flue gas fire on saturday. Its about 20 years old, never failed an annual inspection before. Passed flue flow and spillage no problem. When i checked in the loft i found the selkirk 5" flue came out the precast about a foot with about a 15 degree rise from...

I have done a load of cp12 this year and have come across ilfe fires that i have had to cap due to lack of maintenance. When capping them I have ended up removing the fire so I can get a compression cap on them which is a absolute mither.

Hi all, I have another post about servicing a fire on the forum but can't seem to move it to the arms?
Anyway. When servicing gas fires fitted to a brick chimney, what's the protocol if the your unsure of its integrity, but all is well with the flue flow test? I went to service an Inlaws fire...
Hi all. I don't normally deal with fires but one of the inlaws just called saying that the fire has been going out lately randomly. I said I can have a look at it.
Any advice on what might be the issue?
I don't think it's been serviced and I'm assuming it's an issue with the ODS. It's only a...
