Awesome. Thanks everyone. I shall look up supalux. Will I have to order it or do I get it from a merchant?

Masteboard is another version of it.
Most merchants will stock it. You can buy 2ft square bits or bigger.

Does the world of good to a brand new wood saw! Won't do that again.

or even Ellis board i agree its ncs and insulating the services is deemed exceptable

I think I might of used this stuff before. When mounting a boiler to some timber walls. Is it like asbestos? So am guessing it cannot be cut with a hand saw

Ellis board or similar is like asbestos in appearance but safer, good working practices such as wetting it and wearing a ffp2 mask are a good idea, just because its not asbestos dont mean dust wont kill you

gas is different to water in that a small restriction at the meter union wont have a major effect on the entire flow through the system/pipework, this is because gases can be compressed but water can not. So a 22mm union is normally fine and is what i use, mainly because i get them for free.
Give us some ?? Or else am dishing the dirt on your obsession for rubber ;)

I ask questions everyday, and I mean everyday.

Sometimes i get laughed at when I asked a question and sometimes I do the laughing, but its all in jest really. I'm not afraid to ask anything, I'd rather ask and look stupid than not ask and get something seriously wrong :)
Love you tom :)

Its ok to fit a 22mm outlet union and put a 28/22 on top of it. The 22mm union is designed to flow the capacity of the meter and it will not be unduly restrictive. If there are electrics too close, just use some boarding of some description to provide an isolation barrier.
