hi guys i have to price a replacement boiler for a landlord and i would normally use a wb ri as i will be re using the y plan that is fitted. the prob is the pump will have to be wired direct from the boiler and its a bit of a pig to get a cable to the pump from the boiler location . are there any decent boilers that dont have to be wired this way?

Only one I know of is Baxi solo. Although I think maybe Viessman have been mentioned before.

the existing boiler is an old spacesaver so all i have is switched live

You need a permanent live to keep any 'heat displacement related' overrun facilities going .......!

I've heard Baxi have brought a pump over run kit out not sure how it works but may be worth a read up

If the twin programmer is next to the boiler install a single Channel programmer in airing cupboard which will give you two wires (hot water on / off)then install a programable room stat at room stat position that will give you one wire (htg on) so will give you five plus earth at boiler if no twin channel at boiler location no good to you in this case but worth remembering for future work.also if no room stat fitted go wireless on stat.

Stick a Baxi Solo or Potterton Gold in. Landlord will want it as cheap as possible and won't want to pay for alterations.

thanks guys , looks like pricing a pott gold or a solo dont want to over complicate as Ricky says lanlords and parting with money dont belong in the same sentance.
