Does anyone know if condensate soakaways need maintenance (I.e replacing lime chippings after X amount of years)...

On a job at the moment where they are planning to fit one outside and then tarmac over!

Cant find any information specifically about this online or from the manu's (McAlpine or Boss)
 
yes they defo need changing but not sure how long thinks its something like every 2 -3 years i think maybe less
