Correctly sizing cylinder.

It's been years since I have had to size a cylinder and I know you allow x amount of litres per person so if it's a 3 bed with 2 double rooms it needs x size. But I can't for the life of me remember how to do it.

Also what do I allow for the heating of a cylinder on a y plan or do I just size the boiler for the heating?

I'd be more worried about if it fits in the cupboard on first instance

Manufacturers usually give you all the info you need to size.

Can't go far wrong on 35-45 litres per person, or number of bedrooms plus 1 x 35-45.

I don't allow any extra for hot water when sizing boilers. Just teach them to time them at different times.
