replaced bath and basin taps for a customer two yrs ago. Sometime in September, I got a call from a number I did not recognise.
ring ring, ring ring,
Me: hello
Caller: Is that village idiot? I am at the house, have done power flushing and nothing is working now. You connected the taps the wrong way, can you come over straight away please?
Me: What property is it? Can I talk to the customer?
Customer: Hello, how are you. It is me. This chap said you did the job all wrong. Two days after you fitted the bath taps, we were not able to use it but I decided to just leave it at that. Now my boiler is not working. You have caused a lot of damage to my ceiling. I am very upset.

If he did not know what he was doing, he should not go around power flushing peeps CH systems.
Back to the OP, as for the state in which you left the boiler, their first port of call was to ask you to come and sort it out, not get someone else in to sort it. You do not pay someone to do a job, then immediately get someone else to ''finish'' it? They called you to do a job. If the job was not finished, why not wait for you? Why get someone else in?
