Hi,
I have a Grundfos Selectric UPS 15/50 Central Heating Pump, with a Baxi Solo 2 PF40 boiler. Unfortunately the pump is running constantly. The pump was replaced in June.
On a side note, the boiler overheat thermostat and sensor have only just been replaced (this was to attempt to fix an intermittent boiler lockout, which unfortunately still seems to happen, it has run fine for the last 2 days and has locked out again (in theory it should work ok for another 2 days!)) I have noticed that there seems to be a sound not dissimilar to air in the flow pipe (I cant see or feel any water leaking out), when this occurs the pump seems to have excess noise sounding like a mixture of water and air.
I have two questions
1.) What could be the cause of the pump running constantly? (Faulty PCB?!)
2.) Could a leak within one of the joints in the flow pipe cause the boiler to lock out?
Thanks in advance
Simon
