i got the heating job but didnt get this bathroom re-fit as it went to the builder renovating it for the council.

Was an insurance job, disconnected gas, labelled, warning notice signed and got out of there! Not sure what the outcome was.

That was common place not too long ago RICKY :) Takes a while but it can be restored :) Main issue is getting the burner dust and hair free :)

That one in the photo had the vent blocked up with rags! Luckily the pilot assembly had blocked up from the soot. I went to one a few weeks before that and it was still firing, floppy yellow flames trying to find their way out of the casing!! I had the joy of cleaning that one, over an hour de-sooting the heat exchanger, then another hour de-sooting myself in the shower!!

Must be a double check valve then

Nope. They just took the old tap out and put this one in. This is in my friends house. I told her not to get one of these taps but people don't listen. So I told her to at least she makes sure she doesnt submerge the hose into the sink full of water.

Anyway it's fluid cat 5. Double check valve won't stop the salmonella getting crawling back into the hose

Yup, Bermuda 552! Scary to think what the outcome could have been if it had not broken down!
