N newcastle phill May 23, 2014 #1,984 I used it a few days ago on a stainless threaded union. Was high pressure (50bar) and it helped the spiggot end glide in and acted like lubricant. Before that the threads were binding and picking up. But just 1 turn of ptfe did it Never usually bother with it in general. That pics class lol
