You've run out of cement? just put some wood over the rest of the hole and stick it to the wwall with silicon... what it's fallen off? leaving a nice gap into the property?

Why would you PTFE the threads in a compression ?

I used it a few days ago on a stainless threaded union.
Was high pressure (50bar) and it helped the spiggot end glide in and acted like lubricant.

Before that the threads were binding and picking up.
But just 1 turn of ptfe did it
Never usually bother with it in general.

Yeah I thought that, with a lever valve to isolate it from the unvented cylinder.....nice.
