Richard has put pictures of his extension, so rough! God knows what hes going to do with that waste thats running in middle of the wall lol

and the other waste with four elbows on it, what's that all about?

There's so many potential problems this guy hasn't even considered. Let him get on with it

If he plumbs his heating as well as his extension there'll be no chance of anyone getting too hot. I love the way he's proud of his pipework. Wonder what he'll think when it all blocks up and the strained flexis on the bath split.

I've never known anyone to be so stubborn. He's obviously not listening to good advice and is determined to do it all, then see if it works. If (when) anything goes wrong with this project you can bet he'll blame it on dodgy materials. I'd love to know what kind of 'engineer' he was.

He has no trap on his bath. He said it goes straight into the soil stack running underneath his bath

Love it. I don't like it when the bath is fitted after tiling etc etc etc.

I think we should just let him get on and use him as an example of how not to do it.

Made me laugh!

And that pic that guy put up of his control room is epic, why on earth would you want a BMS system in a bungalow?

Can someone post a link to this thread please it sounds funny.

Think it's been deleted, the Mods probably had enough of the guy claiming to be able to build a house from just a piece of used tin foil & a line of string!

Not yet, we're seeing how it pans out.

We're allowed a laugh too you know!

Especially me!

I liked the bit where he moaned about the guy fixing his VW Golf GT-TDI 140 2.0 16v 4 cylinder common rail injection 6 speed abs esp air con 60:40 split fold alloy wheel HE condensing wireless 2 port valve or whatever it was, as if I was going to be impressed by the fact he owns a diesel Golf!!!

I did skim read and think a few were being a bit harsh, but now he seems to be one of those blokes that doesn't like to admit there are people out there that can do things better than him. Worked for plenty of those, they give you the line of "I could have done this myself, but what with all this Gas Safe nonsense blah blah", speak to them for a while and it becomes apparent they have no clue about plumbing and heating.

The bathroom and kitchen they boast about fitting is thrown together with compression or pushfit fittings on show and they usually have a garage/workshop filled with Black&Decker power tools and shadow boards full of shiney unused tools. The workshop also doubles up as a hideaway from their wives who hate them.........

I know, the bit about the wives was added on for effect! Lol! But I don't know what it is with some blokes, its like its an insult on their masculinity if they have to employ someone to do a job and they spend the whole time telling you how to do the your job!
