Just be carefull with the Boiler install ! if you DIY you may come unstuck with your house insurance, same as any electrical work, it all needs to be certified and a certificate issued, unless it`s different in Scotland. ?

i dont know, there does seem to be a consensus of opinion that regs are different in scotland

more than likely i'll get a gas guy in to do the boiler install

you seem to get deals of fitting an lpg tank plus boiler plus install

i'll need to get some quotes and see what pennies i've got :)

hi dancinplumba,

thanks for the reply, yes i do need to watch the pennies, hence i need to do it myself, not to mention i do need a project to keep me going :)

"watch the pennies " how ????????? if you can afford a house with a 20m hallway 3 bed and 3 showers bungalow ,then i dont think that you are out of cash at all

If you got a lot of free wood I'd fit a thermal store if the mains pressure is good/ mains pressure hot and cold water
Also zoning as I was aware is law everywhere now but I could be wrong
Zone1 living area circuit
Zone 2 bedrooms circuit
Zone 3 hot water only
This is the way it should be done even without the regs
Also yes need room stats to control the temp in different areas and trvs on rads except on rads that the room stats are in
Also if your going to have runs 20m long stick in an expansion loop for safe measure IMHO
