So test would be 82.3 so 83mbar so you could test the mdpe at 100 mbar

Thanks for the calculations. As I don't have a gauge that does 100mb, I could do this as you suggested in the 1st place to 1 bar as it is only a soundness test after all. But, as you say it is commercial so should I avoid.

Well if one thing that comes out of this I have learnt a bit about cost of fittings for this size pipe and strength testing.

So went to pressure test this job but the pipe was not installed to regs. They had run yellow mdpe into the building which if I remember correctly is a no.

I do know the gas board do this though when replacing the mains to the meter inside the house with mdpe by pushing it up the old pipe.
