hey all,

someone i know has just had a boiler install for absolute peanuts that will make you feel sick if you know the price...

am i allowed to say how much?

(done by gas safe engineer including power flush...)

Its in the arms, so no reason not to name a price. And depress us all. :(

Obviously not inc price of boiler

even if it was just labour and absolutely no materials at all, that is stupidly cheap. take off, registering the boiler fixings stuff out the back of the van labour for his helper got be earning £100 if your lucky.

Yeh I know mate some people are a joke. My guess is they can't be GSR. Go in and throw in a boiler for £250 give your labourer £50 £200 for a days earn no tax etc can't be bad

I know a few GSR lads who will do a straight swap for that. And they end up getting 3 or 4 from referrals. They do them alone tho.

We're DOOOOOOOMED
In all seriousness though. ... that's just retarded, I'd rather unblock crappacinos with my bare hands.....

That's joke mate. I've spotted 2 NTCS without even looking properly :-(

thats what £250 quid gets you though. A ****e boiler and a ****e job

What are the 2 NTCS Tom?

The flue position is all wrong, looks too close to the drain pipe and should probably have some sort of heat shield above it to stop it damaging the wood. But without seeing the MI's I couldn't be sure, but I'd say it wrong.

And, the electric cable runs too close to the pipework, including the gas pipe.

And I'd bet £100 that the condense does not increase in size when it goes outside and won't be lagged and won't be fully into a drain :)

And he's left the filling loop connected, but that's a water reg and quite common, so I'll let him off with that one :)

It'd be interesting to see if that condense trap comes out with that condense run in the way :)

The gas pipe isn't sleeved or sealed where it comes though the wall either. That's an AR for you :-(

I'd get the customer to get the whole thing checked over by someone who knows what their doing
