Hi All
which system boilers are you all fitting and why , got a install to do and trying to get away from the WB !

cheers

On system and heat only boilers I fit viessmann why you trying to get away from worcester?

Open and closed ideal logic plus. Sexy easy to fit and run like a dream

They dont quite measure up to an intergas's 22mm waterways though!
not to mention its all copper internally.

I'd never heard of intergas till I came back on here. Sounds like good boilers though :)

Excellent boilers and superb technical support if you need it. I've fitted a dozen in the past 3-4 months and each and every customer is over the moon with theirs.

Again, a customer will be over the moon with any new boiler, that's not really any basis for speccing one. I could fit a vokera and it would be spectacular for the first few years.

best thing about them is their simplicity in my mind, no massive pc type setups with loads of programming needed unless you want to go that way. you can virtually plug n play without to much hassle. the pc box slides out, no screws to wire in the rm stat or frost stat.

Why? Cos you enjoy fitting a giant pain in the bum?

Just getting all the bits required is a bloomin pain.

Boiler, fixing jig and flue as opposed to boiler and flue. Surely a smal price to pay for the flexibility of being able to use a remote expansion vessel or use a combi on an open vented system. Last system boiler I fitted was tight for space so I fitted the expansion vessel in the airing cupboard. Any other system boiler would have been too deep.

How deep is it without the ev?

Logic+ fits in a 300 deep wall unit

Not true, Tom. If a boiler is a pain in the bum to use, if the interface is complicated, then customers will be grateful for the heat, but not very happy with the choice! I know you're an Ideal man, and I really do rate them, but Intergas are a doddle to fit and commission, and custards love that they are so simple.

Ay the logic plus system boilers are as simple as they get ..... Well Mexico o/f

Doesn't stop Vaillants being popular! Most awkward, overly complicated UI ever.

I was under the impression that the intergas timer was a pain in the backside?

I'm still waiting for the opportunity to fit one, but considering there's no one stocking them near me, and the warranty is poor for the great untrained, I can't see how I could sell it tbh.
