Got a 3 bedroom house
6 big rads
and 160l UVHWC
Worcester Greenstar 24i system
New trvs fitted on all but 3 rads
system was balanced last year and all working fine

This year it just seems to struggle on the lower ground rads and 1 of the top floor rads. The towel rail at top of house gets red hot quick, the second rad top floor gets hot slowly and the 3rd rad is just cold.

checked as much as I can on the pump and all seems ok, plus it's only a couple of years old do would be very surprised if that.

Any suggestions?

If downstairs are struggling that sounds like sludge. Have you done a water quality test?

Have you checked bypass is working. Gate valve or auto could be just taking easiest route back to boiler. I have had customers open then and turn them off by mistake trying to sort other issues.

Had it on maximum for a while and it seemed to cut out intermittently before the return had even started to heat. Auto bypass seemed to be working. Both towel rails warm up really well and all the other rads (standard compacts) seem to struggle a lot more.

Is the pump a alpha2 ?
