Discuss Vaillant g10 seals and servicing in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at Plumbers Forums

Just been on a Vaillant course. They say that the seal only needs changing if you inspect inside the burner chamber which should be done every 5 years as a minimum. He said that you can change annually if you wish, but there is no need.

But why would you not clean the chamber annually? It definitely would extend the lifespan of the boiler. Hard to believe but if you say so then it must be true. It must be down to money making scheme as I can’t get my head around to not service a boiler for 5 years. I will stick to cleaning the chamber annually as I’m fairly confident on extending the lifespan of the boiler as well as making sure the boiler runs perfectly fine.
