Dealers have to meet a sales quota, so they register the vans themselves which count as sales. So they discount them and your the second owner.

the transit 2.4 durotorq is chain cam but can get rattly around 120k. check engine in this frosty weather as it may take 5 or so cranks to get started as this engine relies on injection rather than glowplugs working. if it dont start on 2nd click then the egr has gone.

if you dont mind 6k on the clock from a jersey import then you will save 25% list on new and i dont think vat is applicable either.

go to bca auctions and check out next sale.

Got an auction tomorrow but not much decent going through cant afford new at min plan is to pay cash for a van that will hopefully last me long enough to see how buisiness is going

I had a 56 transit connect ex virgin media an broke down bout 4 times in 9 months it was ment to be well maintained, the last breakdown they wanted 2 grand to repair so I got rid of it an bought a new 1, sum1 told me the best tool u can have is ur van. I watched my old boss repair his crappy vans month after month. As I haven't been self employed long I didn't want to tie myself up to a contract, but I also didnt want to breakdown again. Looked into leasing but apparently they get u wen u hand the van back and it's got a couple of scratches on it they charge u a fortune so I just bought a new van instead.

Guttered just called up for a relay in manchester low mileage good condition racking in back good price sold! Bugger. Leaning more towards these now as every transit im looking at has issues with rust.

Must be that you are looking at the wrong manufacture !!
van must be VW Transporter or a vito

I would like a crafter mate but cant afford a good one and the vitos i thought rusted just as bad as a transit.

Tbh you know it all good things comes in price , get one on finance an run it for 10 years and you are sorted

Its the fact im a new buisiness mate looking to get one for couple of years then once i know how the buisiness is doing and what pize van is really neccesary for me i can look at new

Might be getting rid of my transit 07 MWB semi high, nicely racked out in aluminium. 121k miles but good condition, nice spec too including heated screen leccy windows and mirrors. Bit of a trek from Sunderland though!

Don't be to put off by mileage mate, and I'm not trying to persuade you to buy mine! In fairness it's to far away to risk traveling to view any way. But just because a van has lower miles doesn't mean it's more reliable. Sometimes the opposite. A lot of Wear and tear items tend to go at around 70-90k so sometimes buying a higher mileage one means someone else has done it for you. Also I looked for ages before getting this one and saw a lot of dogs with less miles.

worth looking at some if they aren't very far away, won't hurt.

I chose a higher miler van so that it looked presentable outside a customers house without breaking the bank.

good luck with the search, I hated it!

Killing me mate. I get what your saying about the mileage it only really bothers me as i am advertising to do work throughout the country via charities so stand to do high mileage myself

I am still looking at some higher mileage vans just depends on back ground

Not sure what its worth as I haven't looked at what they go for recently. There's a small dent in top of rear door I was going to get sorted first, been there since I bought it mind. Somewhere around 4k I would have thought? I've got to put it through a service as well, got all the stuff just waiting for a mate of mine to get the time to do it, also anti roll bar bushes are getting replaced at same time.

forgot to say its a 110 so goes well not a gutless 85
