I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

I took hot and cold through double check valves behind barrel, up through the 15mm gate valves for hot and cold taps and then t'd together in wall. 15mm comes out through bottom of watering can and then reduces to 10mm which I managed to direct down through the spout.

No new customer. Estimated day and half plus materials. Came in slightly under estimate. Customer pleased and already have to go and look at a couple of bathrooms through her recommendation.

Had the joys of installing a corner basin on job I was on last week on a similarly square wall. Also had to re do the walls where the shower is going as he used cement board off cuts pieced together like a blimin jigsaw puzzle with plenty of huge gaps.

😁 He was long gone by that point, had to point out to developer/landlord that if he refused to get actual whole sheets of cement boards for me to redo it with I wouldn't be able to guarantee the work. Good thing I did as the joker had also missed out the insulation on one side.

bolts yes tap and die set no but it’s staying on the van now took around an hour had it in the workshop
