I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

What made you buy shares in Stanley? 😂
The big ones I got about 15 years ago from a well known diy store with only 2 letters from the alphabet in its name. They were on offer. I think they were £12.00 for 3, so got 3 sets. The smaller ones I have I got for an absolute Steal. Got about 32 of them for £10.00 (and they are brilliant. They interlock with each other with side clips)

Well it's another rough as bulls lugs jobs that's coming out. Didnt look too bad until started pulling it apart. Cladding in shower on top of tiles, floor tiles under lino. Floor falls away in two directions. Bath and shower wastes running up hill. Ah well. Sandwich time.

No more bathrooms for me this side of chrimbo😆 I'm concentrating on smaller projects involved in two new kitchen refit jobs and doing my own one as well, a cloakroom remodel which has been a pita floor had to come up to gain access to the services heating pipe needed tidying up and first fixing ready for new designer style rad and towel rail , stopcock needed moving from the corner all services needed altering and first fixing, then studding out the wall to hide everything plasterer coming Monday so a late one for me tonight as working at home tomorrow, had to dig out the external stopcock chamber got it shut off did the alterations then couldn't get it back on ☹️Essex and Suffolk water had to come out they were first class the inspector snapped the Handle off the stopcock trying to get it turned on but had a tool to get over it replacement can now be booked for a later date. Yes you're probably right. A stainless one was considered, but at over double the price it seemed a lot extra. Considering that if there was excessive water down that end it'd be coming out the tray and into the room I was hoping it'd be OK, thrown in the fact good extraction, and it's a Zehnder not some cheap s***, fingers crossed

My personal preference would be next to basin, but as you say. What customer wants, customer gets. Especially with this customer too.
