    This is an Italian version of a compression fitting

    Just thought you might like to see one. You'll note the olive is a 3-part arrangement with rubber seal, washer, and separate grab ring. This had been used on a steel pipe, though the ones used on copper in Italy seem to be the same.

    Stop tap stuck in blue MDPE pipe compression fitting, nuts undone
