    Ballpark costs for the installation of a Balanced Flue Gas Fire

    I am replacing the existing power-flued gas fire in my lounge with a balanced flue gas fire. The existing fire and external fan have already been removed. What would I expect to pay for the installation of the new fire? I live Berkshire.

    Hi guys now i was taught that if a fires burner was less than 225mm from the floor with no hearth installed then it would be classed as AR . Is this wrong ?

    3 or 4 sided gas fire?

    Apart from the obvious, does anyone know the difference between a 3 and a 4 sided fire as per the following link? The manufacturer states that the 3 sided will fit into a standard opening but I'd like to know more. Like where is the missing side? Crystal Fires - Royale
