Got a customer who's having a boiler put in his garage, main concerns are efficiency and reliability. no concern for looks whatsoever.

The main contenders are the ATAG A325ECX, which is the most efficient boiler going, or the Intergas ECO RF 36.

Pros and cons of both please, the intergas would be a surefire winner, if it wasn't more expensive than the ATAG BEFORE adding the flue, and the robokit.

Its either these or a Vogue (cheaper than both), customer seems happy to take my suggestion.

Cheers, Tom.

I'd probably say the intergas 30/36 rather than the eco for what it adds, though I would also like to try a atag! so not much help

Biggest problem with the usual intergas is, 2 year warranty instead of 5 for me. Also i think he'd be up for the web based controls when they arrive.

only if you havent become an intergas installer, no charge and 5 year warranty p/l and 10 on the hex

WB with 8 or 9 years guarantee ! I am sure Vern will help you with registration for long guarantee

As of yet ive heard of intergas but not done any work with one some i dare say il stick to what i know until that changes but ive heard quite a few folks sayin that intergas is the next best thing, my personal opinion is its just something different thats been tried b4,, Whats your opinion on them tom ?? do you fit alot of them ??,, Just wondering cheers

Sign up for the course, then put "Platinum 5 pending" on the warranty form. They'll register it as 5 years....

I'd prefer an ATAG, but there's very little in it really. The only cons of both are looks, so if it's in a garage flip a coin.

Stan have you not learnt by now, I hate WB? Lol.

The training course is miles away from me Mas, would be a real pain.

ATAG is cheaper than the Eco RF, better warranty than HRE and more efficient than both, but I've never tried either.

Sorry pal there is so many things you hate is hard to keep track of them :) lol
hope you are on a good mood today :) smile is fridayyyyyyyy:)

What do you normally fit? Why are you not fitting one now? If you are used to fitting baxi/ideal/vaillant then stick with it.

The problem I can see with atag and intergas is alot of engineers wont have heard of them let alone worked on them so if they call you back what would you rather work on something youve used for a few years and know inside out or something you have only installed 1 of? Thats my logic anyway.

I'd rather get your mum's opinion on this :)

I do like the Intergas, if only it didn't look like it was lashed together.

Well dont mention me as she may swear at you and start throwing things at you. (we dont quite see eye to eye and not spoken for 3 years of heavenly quiet bliss)

you should have left home earlier, nothing worse than 30 year old teens :)

Doing what ?

In all fairness if I had of got a job in an office it would of sent me nuts. Sometimes I think spending all day in the dry and warm during the winter and not crawling around in roofspaces during summer would be better but I wouldnt last doing the same thing day after day.

I'd normally fit a vogue but he made a point about wanting ultra efficiency. The ATAG is the best available and the IG is better than most.

Top of class efficiency take your pic

Logic code combi can't be far off the atag, though the flue gas recouperator is smaller than the atag

not being fussy but arent all new boilers supposed to be around this mark, and who the heck will notice .1 or .3 difference?

True but if you were an engineer you could see that a Keston quedos is the best boiler followed by some sime a gledhill and a ravenheat ;)

Ravenheat!!!!!!!!!!!! your dropping down my list of people I trust very quickly Roger
