HALL of SHAME PHOTo`s

Forgot I took this with my phone a few weeks back. This is a British Gas install. The PRV goes UP into the loft then siliconed into the stack, with the condensate pump outlet nearby doing the same.

No pipes insulated, nail in pipe clips, shoddy work all round.

Shocking, See how BG have moved forward in improving their business. This is a total embarrassment.

Amazes me how many installers think condensate can defy gravity.....

What boilers that?
Yup, as above, a Grant. The condensate is on the left but its very easy to do it properly.
Most installers run the oil line under the burner too which makes it a laugh to fit the burner.
We ought to start a thread from service engineers to installers! 🙂

After servicing the boiler, I was asked if I would repair the leaks on the soldered and compression joints on the cylinder. i suggested that i would but would also want to take it out and start again. How many fails can you see....
