As the title really folks. Who uses what to check pressures and carrying out tightness tests? I’m not to keen with the analysers to be honest. I was checking a burner pressure recently and with the analyser it was fluctuating up and down but with the u gauge it was solid?
Anybody know what the flashing burner light means? Tried to find any fault codes can't find any. I think the pcb is faulty but want to double check before I fit one.

We changed our Grant oil combi a while back and I kept the good working burner unit.
I now happen to be in need of a workshop heater.. See where I'm going with this?
Can I re purpose the Riello for use as a workshop heater using it like a space heater?
Love to hear some ideas.
Cheers.
Can someone explain to me how a higher burner back pressure in millibar affects thermal output? I’m training on oil and read a lot of manuals. Riello for example state the firing rates for various burner models and what can be achieved in output terms in relation to burner back pressure, ie a...
My burner keeps cutting out it will run for maybe an hour or longer then cuts out but when you hit the reset button it starts again and runs no problem for another period of time.
I can hear a slight crunchy sound possibly coming from the oil pump..
hi lads, I was wondering how you guys clean the burner of Vaillant or viessman boilers?
Do you guys use any products to get that cleaned out? I only use water, occasionally cola due to its phosphate... all the other products I know off they aren’t good for cleaning as they are very aggressive...

So I’ve just purchased a gas hob and wondering if I can just use a gas hose to connect it up or does it need to be done by copper pipe work? Any help would be great!
Hi guys I was hoping someone could let me know what type of oil burner this is on a worcester danesmoor. I've spoke to worcester and they didn't know. I've looked high and low for any data plate/info with no joy so I've come to the conclusion that it's disappeared with age.
Hi, i have been called to an unusual job for our company and was looking for some guidance. The spray booth is being heated by a gas burner fed from L.P.G cylinders. The burner will come on at high heat for a few seconds and then drop to a low burner pressure. I have spoke to the customer who...
Hi Everyone,
had a customer enquire about installing twin coil unvented cylinder with log burner supplying one coil to make use of heat from burner.

In 2012 we had a thermal store installed with a log burner and regular gas boiler feeding it. pretty much since then it hasn't worked properly, the original fitter has since retired and a couple of plumbers and an electrician have looked at it but cannot get it to work effectively.
The idea...

Evening all,
I've got an old Ideal Mexico with a really noisy burner. It seems to have flames spilling from the end of the right hand burner making it roar. I suspect the burner cap gasket has perished allowing combustion through the joint. Knowing that it's obsolete I don't want to condemn it...

ok - I'm on holiday at the moment and I can't get to the boiler to try anything at the moment but this is bugging me so I'd like your opinions on probable causes/remedies.
