Steam generator outlet to steam room - Suitable pipe and fittings

What are the best pipes and fittings to carry steam from a 2.8kW steam generator to a steam cabin for a short pipe distance of 400mm? Thinking on the technical, the pipework would have a low internal resistance (smooth inside) and full bore so as not to reduce the steam out. I noticed the...

How to replace cold water supply line without using a torch or soldering any fittings.

I would like to simply cut the flex copper pipe off just past the cut-off valve and attach a Shartbite male fitting or a compression fitting on the remaining copper stub which would be 7/8 inch in length after the cut. Would that meet code? Live in North Texas. Thanks, Don

I need to add a two port valve to an existing system. As part of this job I need to add a few compression fittings. Wanted to ask those more experienced is it worthwhile buying (as an example) a Prestex (Pegler) 28mm equal T for £12.80 vs cheaper non-brand at £8.05? Is there real any...

MuPVC waste pipe should NOT be solvent welded to ABS waste fittings. Why?

In reality though, it's done all the time. Most don't realise it shouldn't be done and the reasons why. So why? What are the potential problems and the likelihood of those problems happening over time if an MuPVC to ABS joint is made and brought into service for hot and cold drainage? Is...

Copper pipe cutter for plastic fittings

Hello, I have a traditional “disc” type cutter that you wind down onto the copper pipe but I’m told it’s best to have a cutter or “slice” that leaves a chambered edge on the copper pipe so it clears the plastic fitting O ring. Can anyone recommend the best cutter for 22mm and 28mm copper pipe...
