I have some Pegler Terrier lock shields with drain off capability. A standard bleed key is too big as it appears they use a smaller square head on their valves.
Anyone know where I can get a bleed key to fit.
Thanks
Graham
Hi, In the near future would like to change standard boiler for either same or combi , meter is at one corner of house and boiler diagonally opposite, pipe starts at 22mm from meter but ends up 15mm at boiler, concrete floors so assuming pipe goes up to and into 1st floor cavity and accross...
Hello, I was hoping someone here might be able to help. I need to replace an isolator valve on the inlet supply to a toilet. It's a 1/2" fitting - one end is connected to the water supply with a compression fitting, and the other end fits on to the thread of the toilet inlet valve. The problem...
I am moving a radiator 4m across a single story extension. I haven't got access to the roof and I have a concrete floor. I am happy to route the pipe around the wall which would mean a pipe run of 6m. Should I use 22mm pipe or 15 mm. If I went across the floor it would be 4m but ruin the floor...
I have bought new radiators to replace my current ones (around 25 years old). Old radiators were all fitted with TRV's.
I have put the new 15mm compression inserts into the radiator that came with the new valves/TRV's but this then makes the valves too wide to fit onto the existing pipes (by...
Good evening all,
I am having problems renewing my stopcock as I don’t seem to be able to find the size I am after.
I am running a new 22mm cold water main (existing is 15mm) to the loft in readiness for my boiler to be changed.
I have bought what I thought was the right size 25mm - 22mm...
I'm looking to have a Combi Boiler installed along with 8 Radiators in each room along with a Towel rail in the bathroom.
I wanted to check with people what size combi boiler people think I need as I have had one company who has quoted me for a Worcester green star 28cdi compact boiler and have...
And will there be a compression/soldered reducer piece inside the fitting that i can re-use and just put another TRV on or will I need to muck about with reducer bits anew?
Almost never come across microbore so no experience with it. Almost didn't clock it was smaller than 15mm to start, I...
I'm planning on replacing a living room back boiler (in a fire place) with a 22kw multifuel stove. The stove will complement an existing oil boiler and feed the radiators serviced by that oil boiler and also occasional heating the living room without turning on the central heating. Back boiler...

Hi. I was hoping to change a radiator in my sitting room for a significantly larger one, but having read a few bits and pieces on the web, I'm not sure whether it is feasible. The existing radiator is a double panel, double fin radiator measuring about 1200 long by about 700 high and is fed by...
Hi, ive bought a flat panel aluminium rad off ebay and one of the 4 outlets is slightly larger than the other 3 by about 1 mm. Has anyone come accross this before and so what is the solution.

Hi
We're converting a barn with bedrooms and baths in the roof space with velux windows.
We don't want to penetrate the roof with unsightly soil vents. We're planning to put an open vent on the pipe run to the treatment plant (septic tank) and just have a durgo in the house.
Space is tight and...
Hello,
I have a rental property and had a new combi boiler fitted 2 years ago.
No problems at all with the boiler, my only niggle is that the external condensate pipe is 32mm and fully covered with black insulation.
This pipe runs almost 3 metres across the outside wall of the kitchen and then...
Guys, I and another 3 engineers are perplexed.
We have a 4bed 4floor house being turned into a 6bed HMO.
We've calculated 45k btu for htg, and know that we are goin to have a system boiler and 300l unvented cylinder.. But 300l surely won't be enough water should, theoretically, all 6 showers...
Hi there,
I’ve had a small leak from my bottle trap in the bathroom sink after the tap is turned off, which I understand is a bottle trap issue. It’s quite old, so I bought a new one from Screwfix (32mm).
However when I tried to replace it, it doesn’t fit. The new bottle trap does not fit on...
Hi guys: Anyone familiar with float valve sizes for commercial/residential properties? I have been asked to look at a cold water cistern that supplies 16 flats as the float valve requires to be serviced or perhaps replaced. The connecting pipework is run in 42mm copper. Thanks for any help.
I had a boiler fitted over 3 yrs ago. It is a commercial boiler - 100kw. The installer fitted an expansion vessel which is about 20 litres.
We have about 33 double rad and 2 single rads on the system. Someone mentioned to me that the expansion vessel is way too samll as we constantly have to...
Can anyone advise on the brand of TRV head that I would need for this value. Moved into a house with two radiators missing TRV heads, and they seem to be a different size/shape to all other TRVs that I have.
From the images can anyone recommend suggested TRV head that may fit.
Thanks
David
