Yep a pal of mine did with a supposed windscreen chip! Cost him loads in time, hassle and money

Most of the second hand vans on sale here are ex hire vans. Some are ok but the majority are high mileage and need a lot of work done.

Get a Hiace they're almost indestructible but you will get stuck if it sees snow.

It's the Landy that's packed up. I've been using it for work since i went back on my own. Trouble is I'm struggling with the size of it, plus the roof leaks like a sieve, the bulkhead is shot and there's a hole the size of a football in the footwell. It's all repairable but I'm not sure it's worth it when I could do with a bit more room. Trouble is I'm getting a lot more boiler and heating installs now and wasting time because I can't hold enough stock in the landy. I'm having to leave a lot more stuff on site than i like and when I clear the job I can't nip in and do anything on the way home as the landy is stuffed to the roof.

New vehicle is hopefully sorted. All will be revealed next week if everything goes to plan.

Blimey mike that's a beast! And flashing lights for when dinners in the oven!

You dont mess around do you. Nice to be different as well.

It's got a side door on the other side and the rear is split into a small front section and a larger rear section. 3Kw of leccy from an engine mounted generator and a webasto heater. The rear body is only about 4 years old and was mounted in place of the original quadtech body for a customer who subsequently pulled out of the sale. It was used as a CCTV drain survey vehicle with a separate section for the operator to sit in comfort whilst the plebs fed the camera down the drain. My plan is to use the front section for tools and the rear for materials. It will need a ladder rack as it's only got a rack above the cab at the moment.

For more pictures have a look at Used Land Rovers UK, land rover 130 models - land rover specialist . There's also other 130s to letch at, the one I'm getting is about half way down.

I'm getting excited now. Picking it up Tuesday. I've been having a spend up on accessories for it as well. Got a couple of tube racks for the roof, a chequer plate bonnet protector, an X eng pedal box lock for security and some store bins and racking for the rear section. the garage are fitting a SkyTag tracker for me. I may add some tool chests to the front compartment for tool storage but I'll wait until I get it before I decide how I'm laying the front section out.

I'm like a kid before Christmas now I keep waking up in the night. Only 4 sleeps to go. I'm looking forward to having it sign written as well. It will be like a bill board with the flat sides.
